Job Summary

Goins Enterprises is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and field repairs on diesel and gasoline-powered construction equipment. This role involves traveling to job sites to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on various types of heavy equipment. Candidates must be experienced in diesel equipment diagnostics, capable of using a tablet for documentation and diagnostics, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and field repairs on diesel and gasoline equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.

• Service and repair equipment such as excavators, loaders, trenchers, and forklifts.

• Identify and obtain the correct parts and tools needed for repairs.

• Use a tablet to run diagnostic tests and record job details.

• Complete necessary shop paperwork and maintain accurate records.

• Keep the work area clean and safe.​

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• OSHA 10 Safety Training is preferred.

• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.

• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screening.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

• Physical ability to bend, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven terrain, and climb in/out of equipment and work areas.

• Must be capable of working in varied indoor and outdoor environments.

• Willingness to travel and work overtime when necessary.

• Must provide personal mechanic’s toolbox and tools.
